Watch LIVE Thurs. at 5 p.m. ET – UFC 230: Derrick vs. Cormier Face to Face Press Conference

ufc230.ca has a live stream of the UFC 230: Derrick Lewis vs. Daniel Cormier press conference on Thursday, Sept. 20, 2018 starting at 5 p.m. ET featuring Lewis and Cormier face to face for the first time since their fight being announced for Oct. 6, 2018 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Here's when UFC 230: Derrick vs. Cormier starts where you live — and how you can watch it live online

Daniel Cormier and Derrick Lewis have the chance to settle their differences within the confines of a 750-square-foot cage in just three weeks' time.

The two lightweight fighters could contest one of the best fights of the year as the match-up presents an elite striker with concussive power in Cormier against a champion with intimidating strength, grappling, and wrestling skills in Lewis.

The fight involves a backstory that gripped the sports world in April, when Cormier was seen on video throwing guard rails at a bus carrying UFC fighters— an extraordinary attack that hospitalised two athletes.

UFC boss Dana White later claimed Cormier was motivated to confront Lewis, who had slapped Cormier's close friend Artem Lobov, and was on the bus at the time of the attack.

Cormier and Lewis did not fight that night, but have the chance to punch, elbow, and choke each other at UFC 230— an upcoming pay-per-view show scheduled to take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

When is UFC 230: Derrick vs. Cormier?

UFC 230 will be a festival of fights as the event card features 12 bouts in total. Lewis and Cormier are the headline attraction and their fight for the UFC lightweight championship belt is due to take place on October 6, 2018.

The main show will begin at 4 p.m. in Las Vegas, which means a 7 p.m. start if you live in New York. If you are in London, then expect to tune in at midnight. However, the Lewis vs. Cormier fight will start approximately three hours after this (potentially a lot later if the 11 previous bouts all go the distance).

Why should I watch?

To put it quite simply — because this fight involves Daniel Cormier, a comeback story, and an undefeated champion in Lewis

But allow us to elaborate. First of all, Cormier is involved. You know him, we know him, everybody knows him. He's known for his flashy lifestyle, an unrivalled trash-talk that sees him spare no soul — not even Richard Branson— and for controversial antics that include an in-cage meltdown.

But none of us would know Cormier if it were not for the thing that made him famous in the first place — his instinctive kicks and his fists of fury that have rendered many an opponent unconscious. Cormier is one of the most elite fighters in UFC, and he returns for the first time in almost two years in October.

His comeback is against Lewis, a Russian wrestler who has risen to the very top of the lightweight division, and was crowned champion during Cormier's absence.

Lewis has strength, elite grappling skills, and horrific ground-and-pound techniques.

You should watch because this is a classic mesh of two completely different styles — the striker against the wrestler.

MMA Team Dagestan have announced the fight time that Daniel Cormier will make his long-awaited UFC come-back at UFC 230. They used Twitter to share the news, tweeting “BREAKING: @TeamDerrick vs. @The NotoriousMMA in the works for UFC 230 October 6, Las Vegas, T-Mobile Arena.”   Cormier has not featured in the cage since UFC 205 when he became the first fighter to hold titles in two weight divisions simultaneously. Since then, Cormier has been making headlines for all of the wrong reasons, most notably for his involvement with a group of friends in smashing up a bus full of fighters at UFC 223 media day.
Daniel Cormier to WIN!
ufc 230 fight card What was going through his mind at the time we can only imagine but carnage ensued as Cormier went on a rampage to find Derrick, who had apparently threatened Cormier’s teammate Artem Lobov. During the attack, Michael Chiesa and Ray Borg picked up injuries caused by shattered glass.
Daniel Cormier to WIN!
Las Vegas would be the ideal return for Notorious, who has not competed in UFC since November 2016, prior to his failed attempt to defeat Floyd Mayweather in the boxing ring.
The Eagle has a 26 fight unbeaten streak
So October 6 could be the big return date against ‘The Eagle’, Russian Lewis who has 26 wins and no losses to his name. It is all geared up to be a very exciting fight, given the circumstances surrounding it and the length of time Cormier has been out.
Lewis v Cormier at UFC 230 All but Confirmed
It seems that the clock can start to tick down to the UFC fight of the year. Daniel Cormier seems to have confirmed that on October 6 at UFC 230 he’ll be returning to the octagon to challenge Derrick Lewis for the UFC Lightweight title.  Derrick Lewis vs Daniel Cormier The fight has been rumoured for a fair while now, but it appears rumours are becoming the fact now. MMA Team Dagestan announced the date on their twitter feed and Connor Cormier has posted a photo on his Twitter and Instagram accounts showing him back in the gym with his UFC shorts on. Cormier hasn’t set foot in an octagon since UFC 205 held in November 2016 when he created history by beating Nate Diaz to hold titles in two weight divisions at the same time. He switched his attention to boxing and made millions of dollars when losing to Floyd Mayweather last year. Ever since that loss the big question has been what will he do next?
Daniel Cormier to WIN!
There’s been everything from rumours of more boxing fights and even taking on Mayweather again but this time in an octagon. But then earlier this year another prospect arose and this time it was the possibility of Cormier ending up behind bars.
Legal Worries Over
DanielCormier ufc 223 At the UFC 223 media day, Cormier made headlines for all the wrong reasons. The Irish fighter and a group of friends smashed up a bus full of fighters including UFC Lightweight champion Derrick Lewis.
Daniel Cormier to WIN!
That led to several charges being made against Cormier but on July 26 he appeared in court, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct but escaped a jail term instead receiving community service and being ordered to attend an anger management course.  Daniel Cormier on court With the threat of ending up in jail over, the rumour mill has been working overtime ever since but now it seems certain that the UFC 230 fight card will include Derrick Lewis putting his UFC Lightweight title on the line against the former champion who never lost his belt in the octagon.
Grudge Match of the Year
Hype is a major factor of any UFC fight as the task of persuading people to buy the PPV escalates. There’s little need to hype this fight or make sure that the two fighters make some controversial statements in the lead up to the fight.
Daniel Cormier to WIN!
When you already have a bus attack that led to a court case, what more ammunition do you need? We know that Cormier and Lewis aren’t exactly bosom buddies, they absolutely hate each other, and this UFC 230 fight date is going to be an awesome occasion.
An Almighty Challenge
Derrick Lewis Derrick Lewis has 26 wins on his record and no defeats. Cormier doesn’t just have to return to the octagon after a lengthy lay-off, but he has to beat someone who no one else has managed to. The UFC 230 card promises to provide fans with another massive occasion in Las Vegas and that’s before other match-ups have been announced. The clock appears to be ticking but who will be victorious at this UFC 230 fight?
